Cute Clouds Scout Tee Handmade Top

I have recently made yet another Scout Tee top from the Grainline studio Dressmaking Patterns.

My coverstitch was giving me nightmares so i made this one entirely on the overlocker! 

I used our super soft piping elastic for the back of the neckband. The flat bit over the overlocker stitch and the raised piping over the edge so it gave a perfect flat and professional look.

I did stitch it with my sewing machine though actually.

 

It's one of my favourite patterns and my go to long sleeve top or short sleeve tshirt perfect to show off my favourite fabrics. It's a good fit, super quick make and perfect showcase of gorgeous jersey fabric design patterns.

 

 

This time I decided to use a different fabric for the neckline, Mini Raindrops in Coral that perfect matches the cute little cheeks of the clouds fabric.

I also used the same fabric to add a band to the short sleeve and hem band instead of turning up and stitching up a hem. Because of this little trick, this top was even easier and quicker to make as it was entirely made on my overlocker.

 

I mostly use it as a pyjamas top or for cuddles with Cookie the cat.
