Scrim is a woven fabric and is made from a blend of linen and cotton fibres which gives it its own unique feel. It perfect for eco-friendly bags, particularly fruit and vegetable bags as it will allow them to breath well, rug making, upholstery and antique restoration trades too. But the fact that it is a linen-mix makes it very absorbent, lint-free, and able to dry out quickly.
I also love using linen scrim to make little lavender bags to keep in my clothes drawers. I get a lot of lavender and it's the perfect use for it. I also make luffah lavender soap for gifts as I grow lots of lavender and loofahs so little scrim bags are just ideal.
